Spring Carnival begins

Written by  Sharon Lenton

What a fantastic line up of racing we have had and there is so much more installed.
We saw Yellowglen Ladies Day featuring George Main Stakes - Saturday, 17 September moved from Randwick to Rosehill.
I had the best day ever when my great friends Viiva and Glen Williams allowed me to be part of their cheering squad to bring Karuta Queen home to Victory.
Boy we had fun and there is nothing like being in the winners room.  Thank you for letting me share that excitement with you.

Last week saw the Mad about the Hat day at Rosehill.  It was bold and sassy in fashions on the field.
How good was it see MANAWANUI take out the SCHWEPPES STAN FOX STAKES and LAMASERY win the RED ROCK DELI COLIN STEPHEN HANDICAP. We just love a battler's story.
Always exciting though to see Peter Beer from Patinack in the winners circle and this week was no exception with him accepting the MYER SPRING RACING FASHION HANDICAP.
And our heart is always melting when we hear Peter Snowden being interviewed after he wins (x 2 on Saturday).  Such a genteman.

Stay tuned for Epsom Super Saturday - Saturday, 1 October followed by City Tattersalls Club Cup Day - Saturday, 15 October.

Then I am off to Melbourne which will be such a hoot.  Pack leader - Pat Lucas heads the tribe of over 40 of us causing havic at the Stamford for the most social week of the year.
Looking forward to Ambassador Travel's Cocktail Party - thank you Julie Steel always a great way to start the week off.

Stay tuned.
